Juice Aleem, long-acknowledged as one of the finest MCs the UK has ever produced, finally goes solo. The sometime New Flesh and Gamma frontman who has also worked with Coldcut, Hextstatic, Evil 9 and Adam Freedland amongst many, many others, has decided that at last it’s time to go for self.

Jerusalaam Come” is the result – thirteen tracks of varied beats and broad musical influences held together by Juice’s unique lyrical style and mental dexterity. Largely produced by Gamma/Shadowless legend Blackitude, it’s an album which is both as raw and as sophisticated as the minds who have made it.

Watch out his tune “Higher Higher”, a straight lyrics/battle tune, complete with tribal yells and a bell at the end of each round.

To celebrate the release of the 10th anniversary of  Mr. Scruff’s ‘Keep It Unreal’ album, Ninja Tune is proud to present this special celebratory megamix! Relive the summer of 1999 when Mr. Scruff officially entered the realm of great English musical eccentrics.

The ‘Keep It Unreal’ 10th anniversary edition album is remastered (in warm and glorious analogue) and packaged with a nine-track bonus CD including six unreleased tracks from the original Scruffy studio sessions. Featuring the tunes ‘Spandex Man’, ‘Fish’ and ‘Get A Move On’ that chuckle out like Eric Morecombe on the wheels of steel.Available here

Anyone who knows the ten year history of Big Dada knows the name of Deejay A La Fu. Aberdonian Kenny Atkins was born in Scotland, spend his teen years in California and then returned to London around the time that Big Dada was setting up. In the decade that followed, no DJ has been more involved with the label.

The mighty A La Fu returns for the second installment of his inimitable Big Dada podcasts with music from Roots Manuva, Anti-Pop Consortium, Thavius Beck, Speech Debelle, Juice Aleem and many more. All yours for nothing more than nowt.
